Love Translated: Romantic Jewish Wedding in Venice
Jessi + Will’s wedding combined modern and sophisticated style with traditional and beautiful rituals. Her beautiful dress with tiered ruffled layers was even more stunning under the handmade chuppah (with her grandmother’s lace cloth as a canopy and bright green ‘bells of ireland’ blooms cascading down behind the couple). She circled her groom 7 times, they had an intimate veiling ceremony (Bedekken) & Ketubah signing, the rabbi read and sang beautiful passages in Hebrew and of course glass was broken by the groom. While the storm clouds loomed, nothing could interrupt this touching & romantic ceremony for Jessi + Will. Unfortunately, the rain just couldn’t hold out too much longer, and literally right after we finished group portraits, and shot about 6 frames of the bride & groom together, the drops began to fall. We all made it to the reception site just in time for a true Florida downpour! Since the rain never stopped that night, I took Jessi + Will to Sarasota’s marina for proper bridal portraits a few weeks later. Dig in to these gorgeous details!
